AN historic building will be demolished to make way for a “Black Hole”.

Civic leaders approved plans for a nine-bedroom hotel, to be named the Black Hole. It will replace a 19th century workshop in Wharf Hill, Winchester.

As long as guests don't arrive in cars because parking in that area is already very difficult. Taxi's will also have problems if they try to stop anywhere near that junction.

Pretty sure this is the type of stupidity that has to stop, sure, cash has to come into areas somehow but preserving local and national heritage and history is also very important, there's only so much you can learn about an area from books and stuff.
