ALL SHOOK UP: Staff in their Elvis get-up
THE king might be dead, but Elvis Presley’s spirit lives on with staff at the Cooperative store in Obelisk Road, Southampton.
As part of its new fundraising drive for the Carer’s Trust – the Cooperative’s chosen charity of the year – staff at the store dressed up in colourful Elvis Presley costumes.
The Carers Trust helps 14 to 25-year-olds who care for a friend or relative, and the Elvis “rock around the clock” theme is an acknowledgement of the 24-hour a day nature of the challenges facing an estimated 500,000 young people across the UK.
