The slasher attacked and punctured tyres on 17 cars parked in driveways in and around Cavendish Close at Woodley.

Police have also stepped up patrols in the area in attempt to find out who was responsible for the damage which was carried out sometime between 8.45pm and 9.30pm.
After being alerted police carried out a search of the area and counted up 17 damaged cars.
Officers confirmed some kind of “sharp instrument” was used to carry out the attacks.
Among the cars attacked were two Vauxhall Corsas, two Ford Focuses, a Rover 7050, three Ford Fiestas, a Kia Picanto, two Ford Kas, two Ford Mondeos and a BMW 318 convertible, Peugeot Partner, a Vauxhall Zafira and a Peugeot 206.
A police spokesman said: “People should check their tyres thoroughly before driving off to make sure they are not damaged. Other cars may have been damaged that we are not aware of.”

sounds like a pretty low dem area with all those peugeots and vauxhalls. only one prestige car mentioned! not surprised this sort of thing goes on there.
i live in this area, and it's perfectly fine.
it isn't a council estate, it's a normal housing estate
the cars mentioned are pretty standard cars for any neighbourhood.
it's just a shame that because cavendish close is a quiet road, these thugs think they can get away with slashing tyres.
every area has it's bad eggs - let's just hope the car owners get some justice!
