Southamptom man Andrew Clack was caught driving on the M3 whilst disqualified.

Officers stopped his Seat Ibiza near Winchester on December 23, Basingstoke Magistrates Court heard.

Clack, 27, of Chettle Road, Thornhill, was further disqualified from driving for eight months, ordered to do 100 hours unpaid work and to pay a victim surcharge of £60 and costs of £30.

Was he not charged with driving whilst uninsured ? he clearly has no regard for the law so i see further bans as a waste of time. Anybody caught driving whilst uninsured should have their car seized and destroyed/sold with any profit going back into road policing no ands if or buts and that should be standard policy.

I think I've seen this car driving round quite regularly, I can't be sure though as they haven't published the numberplate which would be perfectly legal to do as a number plate isn't classed as private information in this country since it ONLY identifies the vehicle, not the driver and/or owner.

Another little slap on the wrist, when punishment becomes the norm we will all be safer on the roads. I can'i ihink of anywhere more dangerouse than a motorway for someone who obviously has no regard for the law to be driving.

Start replacing the old cameras on traffic lights with ANPR cameras on EVERY set of traffic lights in Britain and fit them to lamposts at junctions that don't have traffic lights... Or just let me have their number plates, would be cheaper to let me catch them.
