A Hampshire legal team is celebrating clinching a lucrative wind farm deal for a client.
Energy lawyers based at Bond Pearce’s Southampton office have advised Renewable Energy Generation Limited (REG), the leading UK renewable energy group, on a new long-term strategic partnership with a fund managed by BlackRock.
As part of this new partnership, the team advised on the immediate sale of two recently built wind farms at Sancton Hill and South Sharpley. The 10MW and 6 MW sites were sold for a total enterprise value of £32.1m.
Corporate Finance partner Sebastian Briggs, who led the team who advised REG on this deal, said: “REG is committed to the development of the renewables sector and continues to deliver significant projects for the sector. This partnership with BlackRock will give REG the opportunity to continue its investments.”
