Police hunt after theft of heating oil
Police are appealing for information following the theft of heating oil in Stockbridge.
The incident took place at some time between 5pm on Thursday, January 31 and 2.30pm on Friday, February 1 in Stockbridge.
The offenders stole £900 worth of heating oil from an oil tank located at an address in Up Somborne.
PCSO Sophie Downie, said: “This incident is part of a recent spate of high value heating oil thefts in the area. There have been three other incidents reported in the Up, Little and Kings Somborne area over the past few days.
“I am appealing for anyone with any information about these incidents to come forward. I would also like to hear from anyone who may have seen any vehicles such as tankers or vehicles capable of carrying large quantities of fuel, in the area.
"No matter how small or insignificant your information may seem, please get in touch and tell us what you know as you may be able to help us find the person or people responsible.”
