A SPA in the New Forest is going head to head with luxury retreats around the world after it was nominated for a glittering global award. Careys Manor Hotel & Spa near Brockenhurst has been selected by a visiting judge to run for the Spa Resort category of the World Luxury Hotel Awards. It is home to the award-winning SenSpa, which is a Thai-inspired spa offering more than 40 different treatments and extensive facilities including a hydrotherapy complex, thermal rooms, experience showers and relaxation areas. Mark Seamer, director of sales and marketing at Careys Manor Hotel and SenSpa, said he hoped the uniqueness of the spa would be recognised. He said: “We have spent a great deal of time listening to the thoughts and opinions of our guests when it comes to the facilities at SenSpa, and as a result the spa continues to go from strength to strength, with bookings for spa breaks, spa days and experience days up year on year. “Building on ancient philosophies alongside the combination of modern technologies and exceptional therapist training, we have developed a truly relaxing experience for all our guests. From massages, facials, and body wraps to our new treatment journeys, designed to rescue guests from the stresses of everyday life, re-introducing you to a haven of tranquillity and harmony, SenSpa offers guests a unique experience in ultimate luxury.” The awards have been designed as a reward for the best spas operating in a luxury niche market, where the quality of service and facility proves to be exceptional. Voting for the category opens on February 17, where guests visiting SenSpa and the public will have the chance to vote for their favourite, before the winner is announced at a gala ceremony on March 24.
