BURGLARS broke into a council hut to take gardening tools.
The burglary took place between 4.05pm on Tuesday, January 29 and 8.30am on Wednesday, January 30, at a pavilion owned by Basingstoke and Deane Borough Council in Gershwin Road, Brighton Hill.
The thieves cut a hole in a fence surrounding the compound before taking the equipment, which included three long-reach hedge cutters, a chain saw, a leaf blower and a pole saw.
PC Erin Davis said: “The theft of this equipment has meant that the council could not complete their daily work as these tools were all required. I am urging anybody who has any knowledge of this incident to contact the police.”
Anyone with information can contact PC Davis at Basingstoke police station on 101 or call Crimestoppers on 0800 555 111.
