FUEL thieves have struck again in the Test Valley.

This time they got away with heating oil worth about £9,000 after targeting a storage tank at Up Somborne near Stockbridge.

Police investigating the theft, which happened between 5pm on January 31 and 2.30pm on February 1, say it is the latest in a spate of thefts involving domestic heating oil.

Raiders also targeted an address at Furzedown Road in King’s Somborne between 10am on January 29 and 7am the following morning and got away with around 1,000 litres of oil.

They also stole £225 worth of oil from a property in Little Somborne sometime just after midnight on January 29 and midnight the next day. And 1,000 litres of oil was stolen from another property in Up Somborne between January 29 and 31.
