Scooter crash causes traffic chaos
TRAFFIC is at a standstill on a major Hampshire road after a scooter skidded out of control.
Police were called to Bursledon Road, Southampton, just before 6.30pm, following the crash involving the scooter rider.
No other vehicle was involved and the rider is not believed to have suffered any serious injuries.
Traffic is now queuing all along the road heading towards the city.

Buses are well known to go through red lights at that road no shock there's so many incidents

6.30pm on Bursledon road? Thats NORMAL traffic not because of a crash.

I'm not trying to be sarcastic here, but the reason you should stop at red lights is because it's the law of the land and applies to cyclists equally as it does to motorists. It sounds like you do, which is great. Driving round the city, however, I see no more than about a quarter of cyclists stopping at red lights and even fewer with bike lights, which is incredibly dangerous.

Oh well, enough rambling from me.
