Gas repairs to close road
EMERGENCY gas works are to close a Hampshire road.
Southern Gas Networks (SGN) are carrying out repairs in City Road eastbound from Andover Road to Hyde Street in Winchester.
The road will be closed from tonight and will remain so throughout the weekend with possible further night work next week.
A signed diversion will be in place via Andover Road, Worthy Lane and Hyde Street while traffic travelling westbound along City Road will be unaffected.
A spokesman for SGN said: “We'll be working 24 hours a day to complete this work as quickly as possible.”
