Car crash inquest opens

AN inquest has opened into the death of an Alresford woman who died in a car crash.

Kathryn Hunt, 35, of Jacklyns Lane, Alresford, was killed after her silver Renault Clio collided with a green Ford Mondeo in Twinley Lane, Whitchurch, on January 28 at around 6.45am.

The inquest was opened by coroner for North East Hampshire Andrew Bradley.

A spokesman for the coroner’s office said she suffered multiple injuries in the accident but the cause of her death was still being investigated.

The driver of the Mondeo, Roland Holliehead, 65, of Wincanton, Somerset, was also killed in the crash.

A full inquest into both deaths will be resumed on May 1 at Alton Magistrates’ Court
