Firefighters tackle blaze in Eastleigh

FIREFIGHTERS have battled a blaze in Eastleigh tonight.

Crews were on the scene of the fire in six dwelling terraced style properties, in Ovington Road.

A spokeswoman for Hampshire Fire and Rescue Service said that there were no casualties and no-one had to be rescued.

Six fire engines, two from Eastleigh, two from St Mary's, one from Hightown and one from Redbridge went to the scene at around 7.20pm.

at the scene now... they are currently cutting the roof off an unoccupied BMW 5 series incase the invisible driver has sustained spinal injuries... :0)

MGRA - Very drole...... I suspect you've never seen let alone dealt with the after effects of a C-section spinal injury.

Now the flats in this district are mostly empty, I'm afraid more of this is going to happen. We were the first the arsonists tried to burn out, now they've tried again in another road. This will only get worse until the empty flats are demolished.
