A MAN has been jailed for ten years for sexually assaulting a 12-year-old girl in Southampton.

Christopher Wildman pounced on the schoolgirl as she walked home along Butts Road, Sholing, on September 20 last year.

Judge Gary Burrell, sitting at Southampton Crown Court, described Wildman as posing a “serious risk to girls”.

Wildman, 32, of Botley Gardens, Sholing, who showed no emotion as he was sentenced, will also remain on licence for five years when he is released.

His pregnant girlfriend, father and brother produced letters of support from friends and family which were handed to the judge.

The victim’s family were also in court to see Wildman sent to prison.

He will never get near the baby his girlfriend is carrying, he's on the sex offenders register for life, that will mean any woman he gets involved with in the future (who has kids) will be informed that this vile creature is a nonce,social services won't let him within a mile of the stupid supportive girlfriend and her child.

A mother to be is supporting someone who has done that to a child? She should have her child taken off her at birth.

castration should be on the sentances list for all Judges to use at their discretion when dealing with sex offence cases. That may deter a lot more of these animals.

He should never be let out clearly he's a danger to children if his excuse was "her skirt was too short i was teaching her a lesson". Let him die in jail i say...i live round the corner from Butt's Rd there are a lot of kids that hang around the playground sometimes at dusk unsupervised. Thought this would shock them into action but no. Seen 5 year olds running around in the dark with no parents near, shocking

I don't know. I've never had a family member who was a sex offender, as far as I know. But it really isn't anyone else's place to dictate how his family reacts.
