Prime Minister David Cameron joins by-election campaign for Conservatives

Prime Minsiter David Cameron in Eastleigh Prime Minsiter David Cameron in Eastleigh

DAVID Cameron will storm into Eastleigh today as the Conservatives pull out all the stops to try to win the by-election.

The Prime Minister will host a ‘Cameron Direct ’ event in the constituency, allowing voters to quiz him personally on the issues that will decide the contest.

T h e appearance rips up the rule book that says Prime Ministers do not campaign personally in by-elections – underlining the crucial importance of the Eastleigh poll.

Exact details of when and where the Prime Minister is visiting Eastleigh is being kept under wraps.

During Prime Minister’s questions in the Commons, he told fellow Tory MPs: “I hope all my honourable friends will join me on the campaign trail in Eastleigh.

“What I would say to people in Eastleigh is that if they want a straighttalking candidate who does exactly what it says on the tin, Maria Hutchings is a local mum and a fantastic campaigner – and she would make a great member of parliament.”

Interesting that he supports someone who opposes Equal Marriage and stated this on the day she was elected. Shame the Tory Candidate does not represent the views of a majority of the large local LGBT community. And Eastleigh streets have been dead for months due to businesses closing - the major shopping groups are in a minority and the town needs significant investment before it becomes a ghost town

Just as well you do hate the place, we wouldn't want to lower the tone of the place with the likes of you coming here.

Or if you are a newspaper mogul and you want to carry on printing lies, dictating policy to the UK public, and hacking innocent people's phones. Then David Cameron is without doubt your best friend.

Shamelessly Cameron believes the interests of billionaires are far far more important than normal, hard working people in the street.

The shame of the Tories, where the interests of the common man come a very sad second to the interests of rich and powerful fat cats.

As far as I can see the only delays to trains are down to a stupid motorist bashing a railway bridge at Cosham. There been major delays on both M27 and M3 this morning due to stupid motorists bashing into each other.

Yep, the shame of capitalism, the thing that's brought you the newspaper whose article you're commenting on and the internet that you're using to comment, along with the PC or phone on which you're making your comment sitting in a chair also a fruit of capitalism, etc, etc ad infinitum.

Blindly attacking "capitalism" is just a lazy way of not bothering to think. There might be aspects of capitalism worth an attack but the whole thing? Hardly.
