A BUDDING Southampton DJ has been fined for playing his records too loudly.
David Young, 31, caused noise pollution for neighbours in Lydgate Road, Hightown, Southampton, city magistrates heard.
Mary Kigonya, prosecuting for the city council, said the music was “loud and obtrusive”
when measured on November 8 last year and January 4.
Young admitted two charges of failing to comply with a noise abatement order served by the city council.
He told magistrates: “I have been practising for 15 years and have done a few events in Southampton and hope to get a break in DJ-ing soon.”
Magistrates fined him £70 and ordered him to pay £85 costs with a £20 victim surcharge.
