Bungalow fire

AN investigation is underway after a fire broke out in a bungalow roof yesterday evening.

Crews were called from Hightown and St Mary’s at about 4.55pm to a blaze in a bungalow in Chapel Road, West End.

This morning a fire engine was stationed at the scene and plastic sheeting had been placed over the burnt out section of the roof.

Hampshire Fire and Rescue said there were no reports of any casualties. The fire was put out by 6.15pm.

Rotten! I live close by and saw the smoke from my garden. I'm so glad no one was hurt and I really hope the occupants haven't lost too much.

@cliffwalker -It would have been far nicer for you to comment on the poor occupants and what they have probably lost (as most people store their treasures in the loft), or even what a shame West End fire station is no longer in operation rather than the pettiness of correcting a spelling mistake or you could call the grammar police?

It states,roof not kitchen. Unless you make your chips on the roof. Or in your loft. I really hope the people didn't loose to much. I'm glad everyone is safe.

lol What a mug. I don't eat chips, They are very bad for you. Maybe if you stopped eating them you might 'Loose' some weight? #mugsford
