FIREFIGHTERS were this morning dealing with a fire at a Hampshire school.

Around 20 firefighters were called to Stanbridge Earls school in Romsey just after 6.30am after reports that a blaze had started in the school building.

According to Hampshire Fire and Rescue Service the small fire was out out quickly and was contained to a room on the first floor.

No one was evacuated as a result of the fire, the cause of which was described as “under investigation”.
