Detectives have launched a hunt after a £36,000 jewellery raid on a Hampshire store.

POlice have released CCTV pictures of the burglary at an Argo store.

It happened between 1.50am and 3am on the morning on February 10, 2013 at the shop in the High Street, Gosport.

Investigating officer Detective Constable Salena Bishop said: “We know other members of the public would have been in the area around this time after leaving pubs and clubs nearby.

“It is possible that one of these people saw the burglary or possible suspects being picked up in a vehicle at the rear of Argos.

“We would also appeal again to the public to contact the police if they are offered any items of new jewellery for sale.

"Argos has now been able to confirm to police that the value of goods and cash stolen was £36,000 in total.

“This burglary is not linked to other similar jewellery burglaries reported in Hampshire recently."
