Fireworks go off as cruise ship sets off on delayed voyage
10:04pm Wednesday 20th February 2013 in News By Ed Stilliard, Senior Reporter
FIREWORKS lit up the sky tonight when a cruise ship embarked from Southampton on her delayed voyage to the Caribbean.
The 40-year-old Saga Ruby finally left port six weeks after her original departure date on a cruise which was cut from 109 days to 66 days.
The ship was due to leave Southampton on January 7, but hours before her planned departure engineers discovered an engine fault, forcing 300 passengers to cancel their holiday plans.

axis and the retail outlets are just a few of the places that benefit, so lets not look on the negative side.

My neice worked for a long time on the Carnival ships and when they came in, her and her friends from the ship, went shopping, had their hair done and had lunch in restaurants. Carnival also put crew members up in Southampton Hotels not only the night before they joined a ship but also when they are in on training courses.
