Schools given £1,000 donation
TWO Southampton schools have been awarded £1,000 for referring a teacher.
Portswood and St Mary’s CE primary schools recommended their regular supply teachers, Asifa Iqbal and Nicole Trotter to Hightown Primary School, in Thornhill, Southampton, and Tanners Brook Junior School, in Millbrook, through teaching agency, TimePlan Education.
As a result of the recommendation, the schools were awarded with £1,000 through TimePlan’s refer a school scheme.
Portswood Primary is planning to spend its share of the cash on new benches for its picnic area, while St Mary’s Primary will spend its on a new mural.
