A DOG training club from the region has been chosen as runners up at the Kennel Club’s Good Citizen Dog Training Scheme (GCDS) Awards, which took place in London.

The Isle of Wight Dog Training Society came third in the Registered Dog Training Club category.

The club collected its award at a special prize-giving ceremony at the Kennel Club’s headquarters.

The awards recognise the efforts of organisations nationwide which have invested their time and energy into helping to train dogs and educating their owners on the importance of responsible dog ownership.
