Wouldn't you think the councillors responsible for budgeting would have scrutinised each service they cut funds from before cutting the funds?
Funding for vulnerable people should not have been touched in the first place!

Not wishing to go into detail, but knowing of the amount of benefits paid to those less fortunate than ourselves, it does need a big shake up.

Hubby is in the care Industry and at times benefits are far too generous. I have to be careful what I say, but many get more than they should.

It doesn't matter where you live in the country payments should be the same, nothing should be paid locally all payments should come from one central source so that everybody gets the same.
Its hard to take something away from anybody because you soon get used to it and just as quickly decide you couldn't live without it but in order to make an informed decision you would need to know their total incomes but i think they would be very reluctant to reveal that.
