St Swithun Wells pupils win through in Eastleigh schools' quiz contest

HAMPSHIRE youngsters put their general knowledge to the test to win a regional competition.

Two teams from St Swithun Wells Catholic Primary school took part, taking first and third place in the competition against four other schools in the Eastleigh area.

Brothers Ben and John McCormack Theo Gleeson and Sophie Carreras made up the winning team, while Danika George, Adam Weglarek, Joseph Carreras and Ewan Macbride took third place. The teams were made up of one child from each year group.

The winning team have already begun preparing for the next competition, due to take place in Winchester, which they will have to win in order to get through to the finals.
