BURGLARS got away with two Dell laptop computers after breaking into Rownhams St John’s Primary School.

Police recovered one laptop abandoned a short distance away from the Bakers Drovebased school.

Speaking about the weekend burglary, head teacher Rob Sanders said: “We were lucky they didn’t get away with more. The burglar alarm sounded and they ran off.

“One of the laptops has already been recovered and the police are examining it for fingerprints. The computers were bought a couple of years ago. I don’t have a value for them but there is a small financial element to it.”

A door at the rear of the premises was forced to gain entry into the school.
