A WINCHESTER dance school has been nominated for a prestigious award.

Integr8 Dance is up for a Lloyds TSB Enterprise Award and will pitch its case at the London and South East heat on March 21.

Founded by Charlie Sapey, 21, in 2009, Integr8 has grown across Hampshire, specialising in street dance to more than 400 children and adults.

Zoe Price Harper, Integr8 director, said: “We are really pleased to have been shortlisted for the award particularly as we are in the most competitive heat for dance in the country. It’s a great feeling to know we are teaching authentic styles under the street dance umbrella and educating the next generation of dancers.”

Integr8 currently works with more than 20 primary, secondary and special schools in Hampshire and three of its crews will represents Winchester at the UDO British Street Dance Championships in March.

It has also recently started ‘Street Feet’ classes for two to four-year-olds teaching them basic movements.
