Burglar escapes through first floor window
A BURGLAR leapt from a first floor window after the householders returned home and disturbed him in action.
The couple, aged 32 and 29, had returned home around 5.45pm and heard someone upstairs as they went inside.
The man then ran up to investigate while the woman waited outside and saw a slim figure, wearing dark clothing, jump from the window above.
He had searched their Southampton home after getting by smashing glass in a back door and begun to pack electrical items into a bag.
Police say it is still not confirmed if anything was actually stolen because the thief had been disturbed.
The break-in happened on February 24 in Earls Road.
