Deadpan:Jack Dee
IT’S laughs aplenty at The Mayflower this season with a series of comical one nighters.
The Hairy Bikers take to the stage on Sunday, March 24 for an evening of cooking and rip roaring tales of decadent dos, big dinners and culinary catastrophes. There will be a bit of dancing, a bit of flirting, a bit of singing, and some downright hilarious stand-up comedy in their show Larger Than Live.
After a six year absence from stand-up Jack Dee is back on Sunday, April 7, agonising over the slightest of annoyances and misdemeanours.
Where’s he been? Appearing on shows like QI and Never Mind The Buzzcocks, 8 out of 10 Cats and Have I Got News For You, hosting Radio 4’s legendary I’m Sorry I Haven’t A Clue, co-writing and starring in four series of BBC 2’s hit sitcom Lead Balloon and writing his memoirs, Thanks For Nothing, which he modestly dedicated to himself – “Without whom none of this would have been possible”.
Why is he touring again? “I want to spend less time with my family,” says Jack.
Always slightly on the edge Jethro’s fruity Cornish humour is the perfect remedy to cheer everyone up when he appears on Sunday, April 28. Turning everyday events into farcical stories, he embellishes into hilarity with his trademark West Country dialect.
Starring Toyah Wilcox and Julie Coombe, Hormonal Housewives arrives on Sunday, May 19. Is your man more James May than Christian Grey? Then this is the show for you!
They cover everything that makes today’s woman tick (or ticked off) – from the joys of teenagers, to the challenge of IKEA, the madness of holiday reps and the insanity of DIY. A hilariously funny evening – what they can’t teach you about modern womanhood isn’t worth knowing!
Silly voices After his last sell-out appearance at The Mayflower Sean Lock returns on Tuesday, September 24 with Purple Van Man his hilarious new stand-up.
We all know what white van man thinks about the world we live in but it’s time to hear a different voice, purple van man’s voice. Filled with gags, opinions, deft observations and some silly voices this is Sean Lock doing what he does best, spouting inspired jibber jabber as he crosses the country in his purple van. He will make you laugh like a drunken horse.
Joe Pasquale stars in Ha Ha Holmes on Sunday, October 6.
You’d be absolutely barking to miss this pipe smoking new show as Holmes and Watson embark on their most dangerous adventure yet… hunting down The Hound of the Baskervilles!
It’s elementary and downright hilarious as Joe Pasquale takes on the role of Sherlock Holmes.
Tickets for all shows are on sale now.

Pathetic line up for the most part, and confirms Southampton's reputation as being a decade in lieu. Sean Lock's okay. The likes of Stewart Lee are more likely to choose us as subject matter than actually perform here.
