THE Business Secretary is visiting Winchester this week.
Dr Vince Cable, Secretary of State for Business, Innovation and Skills, is a keynote speaker at ECOBATE 2013, the second European conference on banking and the economy, which will be held at Winchester Guildhall on Wednesday.
Dr Cable is one of several European business experts making speeches at the conference, which focuses on “local banking” and includes a two-hour seminar on the issues involved in creating a local bank for Hampshire.
The event is organised by the University of Southampton and hosted by vice-chancellor Professor Don Nutbeam.
