Antiques Road Show expert in city

HE IS used to casting his eye on ancient furniture for the BBC.

But for tomorrow night only, Antiques Roadshow expert Lars Tharp will be at Richard Tauntons College in Hill Lane, for a charity event for Southampton Soroptimists.

Lars will bring six antique objects and answer questions and talk about them in the style of the antiques show.

The event runs from 7pm to 9.30pm. Money raised will go to Southampton young carer’s charity. Call Jean Edwardes on 023 8025 3847 for tickets which cost £15.

Furniture? Having known the man in Petworth, I'm sure his area of expertise is Ceramics.... and music - he's no mean 'cellist!
