Thieves put lives at risk Thieves put lives at risk

VOLUNTEER medics have accused thieves of risking lives by putting their emergency vehicle out of action.

The offenders targeted a Mitubishi Shogun which is used by Bransgore First Responders, who dash to the aid of patients suffering from strokes, heart attacks and a number of other life-threatening conditions.

They stole the radiator grille, forcing the group to take the vehicle off the road for several days for repairs.

The responders received three calls during that period and had to use their own cars, which are not able to carry as much equipment as the Shogun.

Spokesman Mike Jukes said: “The thieves may well have put lives at risk. They’re beneath contempt.”

The silver-coloured 4x4 was parked in Valley Lane, Bransgore, when the offenders struck on February 23.
