Justin Bieber fan defends heart throb after two hour concert delay at the 02

Bieber fan says concert abuse is just not fair Bieber fan says concert abuse is just not fair

A DEVOTED Southampton fan of Justin Bieber has hit back after the heartthrob kept her and thousands of fans waiting for two hours at last night's concert.

Holly Sennett said she was shocked that fans began booing the 19-year-old pop star saying simply: “He was worth the wait.”

Pop superstar Bieber today apologised to fans for keeping them waiting with a late-running gig.

The popstar was booed by some fans when he eventually took the stage at the O2.

It left some young fans in tears, while many had to leave just minutes into his performance.

He said there was ''no excuse'' for his late arrival and added that he was sorry about those he had upset.

The singer had been playing the first of a run of nights at London's O2 Arena last night but many of his school-age fans were forced to leave early to meet parents or catch trains home.

However, devoted fan Holly defended her idol.

The 15-year-old, from Sholing, Southampton, said: “I couldn't believe people were booing him. I thought he wouldn't want to come out if he heard that.

"It is not like he was refusing to come out, something had obviously delayed him and it was a brilliant show.”

The Sholing technology pupil, who eventually arrived home at 2.45am after her dad Matt took her and a friend to the gig, was then woken up at 6.30am for a full day at school.

As previously reported by the Daily Echo, Holly is so obsessed with the pop star she admits he has taken over her life and even takes posters of him on holiday with her.

Bieber yesterday apologised for arriving late on stage in London, tweeting: 'I was 40 min late to stage. there is no excuse for that and I apologize for anyone we upset. However it was great show and Im proud of that.''

If i had paid out for tickets to see hi live on stage at a certain time , Then as a customer/fan i would expect to see him on time on stage. Its dis respectful to the fans and customers for being late. He obviously dont give a ****. I would boo as well. Do the customers get any refund on his lateness.

Worrying about our future voters ennit. Poor Holly reminds me of the sheep that still support the Tory party.

Drop a stage light on his big head so he's crushed and electrocuted, then we don't have to listen to him or any of his annoying "fans"(more like overly creepy stalkers who try raping him) again.

Come on guys don't hate congratulate.

Your all just jealous that you weren't as talented and as rich and famous as him at that age!

The lad has done well for himself, he was probably late because he was backstage having a booze-up, who cares, i would!

Make it like First Bus, if it's twenty minutes late, you get your money back. I am no fan but I have also been the victim of this sort of thing at a concert, where it started so late I had to leave before the end to be able to get the train home, it's just commercial selfishness.

Personally I cannot name a song performed or recorded by Bieber, although I understand he has a huge following among female teenagers. However, has anyone asked if his lateness was actually his fault?

I attended a concert at the O2 Academy in Bournemouth a few months ago and the posters, fliers, website and tickets clearly said doors opened at 7.00 pm for a 7.30 pm start. At 7.30 pm the promoters and/or security had still not unlocked the doors.

8.00 pm and the doors finally opened to let in what was then a very long and unhappy queue. Despite being shown the time on the tickets, the staff insisted the show was due to start at 8.30 pm ... and that was the support act.

The main act appeared at 9.30 pm which was two hours after the advertised time, and two and a half hours after the doors should have opened on what was also a cold and wet night.

There was no apology from the venue staff, the promoters or the artist. No one was offered compensation ... not even a free hot drink from the extortionately priced bar.

Did I enjoy the concert? Yes, but not as much as I would have done if the doors had opened on time and if I hadn't felt extremely cold from waiting outside.

He wouldn't be worth the wait if you had to leave after 10 minutes to catch a train home.

Poor girl, if she had been 15 years old in the mid 90's she would have had taste in music. This country needs another Britpop.
