Paint Pots pocket a second outstanding Ofsted

A GROUP of Southampton nurseries have even more reason to smile thanks to their second outstanding Ofsted report.

Paint Pots in Bursledon Road, Sholing, was awarded the top mark for their inspection just weeks after the Daily Echo reported that its sister nursery on Howard Road, Shirley, had achieved the same result.

Paint Pots in Sholing caters for 88 children, aged five and below.

Inspectors were particularly impressed with the enthusiastic staff who are good role models and have an excellent understanding of the children and know how each one is progressing.

The children are well motivated and demonstrate that they feel safe as they play in stimulating indoor and outdoor environments, which enable them to become independent learners.

The report notes that all the experiences the children have at the nursery support and have a positive effect on their preparation for the next stage in their learning, helping them to meet their full potential.

David Wright, nursery owner, said: “We’re just absolutely delighted.

“We have a child-centred focus and we recruit our staff with that ethos, I think that’s what Ofsted has noticed.”
