TWO Southampton shops are opening their doors on Saturday, March 16, to offer everyone free taster music lessons across a broad range of instruments.

The Academy of Music and Sound in Chapel Road and Digital Village in St Mary Street will be joining music stores across the UK giving all budding musicians the chance to try their hand at making music as part of National Learn to Play Day.

Free lessons on guitar, bass guitar, vocals and drums will be from 11am to 4pm at the Academy of Music and Sound and guitar lessons at Digital Village from 11am to 4pm. Comedian and drummer Al Murray and Pink Floyd’s Nick Mason have backed the campaign.

As for my level of knowledge and skill, I am currently learning how to use my new preSonus producer attached to my yamaha Emx5000-12 that drives a set of Peavey 15 inch with diamond tweeters on pole mounts(big heavy speakers that will shatter windows if allowed to feed back to long. I need a tutor for my learning in guitar lessons. I hope you can help. Take a look:
