MORE Hampshire teenagers have been showing off their talents on the Southampton Guildhall stage as part of the 2013 Global Rock Challenge.

Hundreds of sixth-form college students and secondary school pupils are bidding to win the prestigious dance contest.

They are performing ten-minute dance routines and if they catch the eye of the judges they will take part in the southern area final in June.

Winners so far include Peter Symonds College in Winchester, Richard Taunton Six Form College in Southampton and Wildern School in Hedge End.

Among the colourful dancers who have taken part this week are Itchen College in Southampton, Hamble Community Sports College, Mountbatten School in Romsey and Brune Park Community School in Gosport.

Tonight and tomorrow night it is the turn of the younger children in the Southampton Junior Rock Challenge.

Schools taking part include Harefield Primary, Highfield Primary, Shirley Junior, Springwell, Thornhill Primary and Townhill Junior in Southampton, Berrywood Primary in Hedge End, Braishfield Primary and Halterworth Primary in Romsey, Netley Abbey Junior and Wellow Primary.
