Huhne and ex-wife sentenced today
FORMER Hampshire MP Chris Huhne and his ex-wife Vicky Pryce are expected to be jailed today for perverting the course of justice.
Last week Pryce was found guilty of taking speeding points for the shamed former Eastleigh MP in 2003. Huhne had already pleaded guilty to the charge.
Perverting the course of justice carries a maximum sentence of life imprisonment although the average sentence is around ten months.
Both 58-year-old Huhne and economist Pryce, 60, have been warned to be under no illusion about the punishment they face.
The former pair are due to be sentenced at Southwark Crown Court at 2pm.
