Detectives are investigating a robbery on a man in Hampshire.

The 24-year-old was walking along Anglesea Road when he felt someone pulling on a laptop bag he was carrying.

Two men he did not know stole the bag and ran away in the area of an old swimming pool sometime between 1am and 2am on March 6, 2013.

The victim was not injured.

The stolen Nike laptop bag contained the man’s white Apple MacBook Pro laptop computer and a Canon 650D camera.

Suspects were described as two skinny men wearing hooded tops and dark tracksuit trousers.

Investigating officer Detective Constable Pete Bambury said: “This robbery took place in a well-lit area of Portsmouth in the early hours of the morning.

"It can be a busy road with many people going to and from pubs and clubs.

"If anyone saw the victim or the men involved running along the road at that time, please contact police. If someone has been offered the lap top, the bag or camera I urge them too to speak to me.”

Witnesses or anyone with information are asked to contact Det Con Pete Bambury in CID at Fratton Police Station by phoning 101.
