A MAN has been charged with kidnapping two 18-year-old men as they walked along a street in Southampton.

Jamie Kingston appeared at Southampton Magistrates’ Court after the alleged incident in Thorold Road in the early hours of last Wednesday.

Police believe the 35-year-old was helped by 20-year-old Melissa Murrell, who also appeared at the court.

After he was arrested on Thursday, Kingston, of Salt-mead, was charged with two counts of kidnap and one count of supplying cocaine.

Murrell, of Dalmally Gard-ens, was charged with one count of possessing cocaine, and two counts of intentionally engaging or assisting the commission of an indictable-only offence.

They will next appear at Southampton Crown Court on April 8.
