Low rate of caesarean births in Southampton
A SOUTHAMPTON hospital has one of the lowest rates for caesarean births in the country.
Research has found that University Hospital Southampton, the trust which runs Southampton General Hospital, had the fourth lowest rate for births involving surgery in the country, at 6.2 per cent.
The national average for elective surgery is one in ten.

I have virtually no idea if that's a good thing or a bad thing. Is it good - avoiding unnecessary surgery, or bad - not spotting possible complications with natural deliveries?
Could someone do some 'journalism' maybe? :-)
