Drama: Huge 100ft tree crashes into house in Southampton
A 100 foot tree has crashed into a house in Southampton.
Homeowners heard a huge crash as the huge redwood was blown down.
The drama happened in Redwood Way, Southampton.
Experts say the road is likely to remain closed for at least two days while the clear-up operation continues.
An investigation has been launched into why the tree came down around 5pm yesterday.
Last night residents said it had been seriously affected by rot.
Fire crews worked into the night to clear debris from the scene and check that no major structural damage had been caused to the house.

but 100 foot tree this is small for a redwood, theses trees can grow over 350 feet and live for a 1,000 years, there is one where the trunk is that wide they cut a tunnel though it for cars to pass though.
