Store raided twice in week
THREE masked people smashed their way into a Hampshire supermarket.
They threw a concrete slab through the main doors of the Waitrose store, in Chandler’s Ford last Thursday just after 2am, then stole an unknown value of spirits.
This is the second time that the shop, on Oakmount Road, has been targeted by burglars in a week.
Five days earlier offenders forced the main doors of the store open with a tool and stole alcohol, putting it in green garden sacks.
Following this incident, shortly before 2.30am on March 2, three men have been arrested on suspicion of conspiring to commit a burglary other than a dwelling with intent to steal and released on bail pending further enquiries.
No arrests have been in relation to the second incident.
