READING her lines just got a whole lot easier for one This Morning presenter, thanks to revolutionary eye surgery in Hampshire.

Ruth Langsford no longer needs to battle with glasses and contact lenses to speak to the nation after lens replacement at Optegra Solent Eye Hospital in Whiteley fully restored her sight.

The presenter, pictured with husband Eamonn Holmes, praised the “lifechanging”surgery which has left her feeling “liberated” and is urging others to look into having the procedure, which also prevents cataracts.

Ruth, who was told she was unsuitable for laser eye surgery, said: “The operation is completely pain-free – you’re obviously aware that something goes on, but I really didn’t feel a thing.

“The freedom from wearing glasses is amazing.”

The surgery involved replacing her eye’s natural lens with a new, permanent, and technically advanced lens
