AN ELDERLY man died at his Hampshire home days before he was due to have a CT scan, an inquest heard.

Southampton Coroner’s Court heard how Bruce Kilpatrick, 86, was found collapsed at his home in Milford on Sea after seeing doctors at Southampton General Hospital because of breathlessness.

Coroner Gordon Denson heard the cause of death was a heart attack caused by a blood clot. Recording a verdict of natural causes, he said he was entirely satisfied he had had the appropriate care.
