Hampshire raising money for Comic Relief through Red Nose Day

Hampshire doing something funny for money Hampshire doing something funny for money

PEOPLE across Hampshire will be doing something funny for money today to raise thousands for Comic Relief.

Businesses will be selling cakes, schoolchildren will be dressing up and people will be having their heads shaved for the annual fundraising event.

The money will go to provide shelter to young people on the streets and support those suffering from domestic abuse in the UK, while also supporting people in Africa.

Some people have already started fundraising, including Darren Golden from Sainsbury’s, Bitterne, Southampton, who had his back waxed in store.

Others who have already got involved include Itchen Sixth Form College, Faster Personal Training at the Ageas Bowl, Kiddi Caru nursery in Whiteley, Chandler’s Ford Infant School, St John the Baptist C of E School in Waltham Chase and Crescent Primary School in Eastleigh.
