IN their final performance of a three-month, 38-date UK tour, Anton Du Beke and Erin Boag from BBC TV’s Strictly Come Dancing charmed a packed Pavilion.
Backed by a superb 25-piece orchestra and four brilliant young dancers, this glamorous new production is a salute to the golden years of MGM musicals.
Featuring meticulous choreography, sparkling costumes, and flawless musicality, Anton and Erin have a compelling stage presence.
Their precise quicksteps illuminate Let’s Face The Music And Dance and That’s Why The Lady Is A Tramp while Moon River gives them a gorgeous waltz.
As well as dancing, the duo can also pull off a song, putting their own witty words to Ah Yes, I Remember It Well, while Anton delivers a stylish duet with Lance Ellington on Me And My Shadow.
In their entertaining audience Q&A section, Anton was asked “What would you be if you weren’t a dancer?” The razorsharp response was “Unemployed!”
When Bruce Forsyth finally retires, Strictly would need someone with a deep knowledge of dancing, quick-witted and charismatic... Anton Du Beke!
