A RESIDENT has been fined for repeatedly ignoring orders to stop blasting out loud music from his home.
Neighbours first complained about Paul Crocker when they heard music coming from his Bishopstoke home in 2011. But in spite of an abatement order Environmental Health officers caught him causing a “noise nuisance” at his Hamilton Road property twice the following year.
At Southampton Magistrates’ Court he pleaded guilty to breaching the order and was fined £115.
Anne Winstanley, Eastleigh Borough Council’s Cabinet member for housing, said: “The council takes the issue of noise nuisance extremely seriously and we have welcomed the decision to fine Mr Crocker for his actions.
“This case should act as a warning to others who cause a noise nuisance that the council will not hesitate to take action to protect the interests of residents.”
