The hunt is on for Hampshire's next catwalk queen.

Organisers of the county's annual beauty pageant have begun their search for budding young models - and ultimately a potential Miss World.

Talent spotters are casting their eager eyes over Hampshire and the Isle of Wight as they attempt to unearth the region's finest young women, aged between 17 and 24.

A judging panel will then select a group of around 30 finalists to take part in the prestigious Miss Hampshire pageant in May, which will be hosted by Mr England Roland Johnson.

The winner of that contest will receive a place in the Miss England grand final in June, where they will compete to represent their country and the glamorous Miss World contest.

Here's how to enter:

Young women aged between 17 and 24 years of age can enter the running for the Miss Hampshire contest by emailing Paula Langley on plangley@live.co.uk Entries will be accepted until Monday April 22.

The finalists will be invited to attend the Miss Hampshire and Isle of Wight final on Monday May 6.

The glamorous event will take place at Alton House Hotel, Alton, from 7pm.

The winner will then be fast-tracked to represent Hampshire in the grand final of Miss England 2013, which will be held in Torquay from June 13-16.
