More than 250 pupils packed out the school hall to the rafters to witness the teachers swap the textbooks for dance moves.

There were 11 couples that showed that they couldn't just teach, they could also cha cha cha, jive, tango and waltz.

The teachers had been using every minute of spare time available to get ready for the competition that had to be judged by students as well as two deputy heads.

The competition helped Bitterne Park Secondary School raise £2500.

Good for them. Don't know how much was down to the dancing, but £2.5k is a great sum for a school to raise for charity.
.
I expect some of the teachers grew very close during practice too... Which can only be good for their professional relationships!
