DETECTIVES have charged four men after a string of robberies and burglaries across Hampshire and the south.

Andrew Smith, 27, Stewart Last, 28, Richard Loveridge, 27 and Lee Fitzgerald, 37, are charged with more than 40 alleged offences between August 2011 and February 2012.

The charge list includes robberies at Nationwide banks in Fareham and Havant in 2011 as well as a burglary at Budgens in Otterbourne and an attempted burglary at Carphone Warehouse in Hedge End.

The list also includes incidents across Thames Valley, Wiltshire and Surrey.

Andrew, Smith, 27, formally from Staines in Surrey, Stewart Last, 28, formally from Windsor, Berkshire, Richard Loveridge, 27, from Datchet, Berkshire and Lee Fitzgerald, 37, from Windsor, Berkshire will all appear at Portsmouth Crown Court on Monday.
