Arrest over drugs charge
POLICE arrested a Winchester man on a city estate for suspected drugs offences.
A team of ten officers executed a warrant at a house in Fromond Road, Weeke, at 7.35am yesterday.
A 50-year-old man was arrested on suspicion of possession with intent to supply cannabis and suspicion of cultivation of cannabis.
After his arrest by the Winchester City Gate Safer Neighbourhoods team, he was being questioned by police.
A neighbour, who asked not to be named, said: “They were going to use the battering ram but it looks as if they just walked in.”
